t was a story that began half a world away. Suman & Akalpa met nearly a decade ago in the heart of Ghana, West Africa. Suman had been visiting for a work-related project, and it's no surprise that Akalpa's laughter and kindness caught her attention immediately. Her dedication to her work, and love for the Ghanian people kept bringing Suman back to the shores of West Africa; but I want to say that it was the growing connection between her and Akalpa that really gave Ghana a special place in her heart. Congratulations Suman and Akalpa. You guys are a living example that love has no borders or boundaries. Happy Monday!
HARBORSIDE ENGAGEMENT: Prerna & Varun

t started out innocent enough. Two kids and a college campus. The rest is history! Even at first glance, it's easy to see why Prerna and Varun were meant to fall head-over-heels in love with each other. She's sweet, bubbly and laughs at his jokes. He's kind, romantic and makes her feel like she's the luckiest girl in the world. Together, they compliment one another in such an incredible way. I feel so honored to have spent an amazing afternoon with them both as we galavanted around the Boston Harbor for their engagement shoot. From the moment we began the shoot, until the very end - we literally laughed out loud a countless number of times. And if my crazy theory of "couples who laugh together, will stay together" bears any truth, than these two are sure to be blissfully in love for years and years to come. Congratulations Prerna and Varun!
We started the shoot on the Northern Avenue Bridge, where (as you can see) both Prerna and Varun started things off with a bit of sass and humor.
I was thrilled to have Natalie from our team join me for this shoot to grab some of these close-ups in super stealth mode!
Honestly, nothing makes me happier than a groom who's excited about being in love in front of the camera. Thanks for being such a romantic Varun!

And even though the skies were a tad cloudy, we were all just happy to greet one of first days of Spring for this shoot. Prerna, thanks for being a trooper!!
Once you get to know Prerna and Varun, you quickly begin to realize that THIS is a perfect representation of their relationship. Thanks for laughing out loud guys.
And now a look at the softer side....
But not for long. These two just can't contain themselves!!

HARLEY DAVIDSON E-SESSION: Davina + Matt

olks... this lady is one hot ticket!! I'm not just talking about Davina's radiant beauty; but for as long as I've known her, she been a cool, free-spirited and amazing person to be around. It's no wonder she snagged herself a gentleman as caring and charming as Matt. Together, they are one of those couples you want to be friends with. They will seriously make you LOL. When we first started working with Davina, she had this wonderful idea of incorporating touches of vintage romance into the engagement shoot. The idea developed one step further as Matt got excited about including his much-loved Harley into the shoot as well. I just love when both the bride and groom are equally excited about the shoot. It just makes the experience that much more fun for all of us.
Davina and Matt -- you guys are a rockstar couple, and we simply cannot wait for your big day coming up this Spring. Until then, have fun and be stylish!
It was a freezing cold day, but I was so excited that we caught just the mere end of some incredible Fall colors. This one last tree was holding on pretty strong to its red ruffles.
So classic, and so beautiful. I love how much you make each other smile.

WELLESLEY ENGAGEMENT: Dhivya + Ashwin

on't let their relatively quiet exteriors fool you. Truth be told, I hadn't had much contact with either Dhivya or Ashwin until the day of the engagement session. They both live in Pennsylvania, and I worked with them remotely through the inquiry and booking process. When I arrived to the Wellesley College campus for the engagement shoot, I didn't even know who I was looking for. But there they were.... I noticed a smartly dressed coupled headed my way from the distance. "Must be them", I thought. Like all first meetings, there were the obligatory hellos and how-do-you-dos... but we very quickly warmed up to one another. Once you get to know Dhivya & Ashwin, you quickly learned to see past their quiet exterior, and soon you'll discover that they are an incredibly warm, genuine and straight-out hilarious! Congratulations Dhivya & Ashwin.
We really lucked out with a beautiful Fall day.
I always love to grab one or two traditional portraits -- you know, something that Mom is just going to love putting up on the mantel.
The college campus really is stunning!! I mean really -- a lake in the middle of campus?
As we wandered the campus, we ended up near one of the dorms where Dhivya used to stay in her college years. Good old memories!
After a quick outfit change, we came to my favorite part of the day.... those 30 precious minutes right before sunset. Just ask Dhivya & Ashwin, I felt like a kid in a candy store.
Oh beautiful light. Oh what a beautiful couple!

BEACON HILL ENGAGEMENT: Maya + Nilay

he definitely gave him a run for his money. All through law school, Nilay had his eyes on Maya. She was cute, smart and had a smile that lit up the world. But Maya wasn't going to fall into Nilay's perfectly blueish-grey eyes so easily. Like any smart woman, she had her goals focused on being a successful law student. Sure they'd see each other in classes and with friends... but Maya wasn't distracted by Nilay's consistent efforts to win her over. In fact, it wasn't until nearly the very last day of law school that Maya finally decided that she should give this guy a chance. The rest is history! Maya & Nilay - congratulations on your engagement. I'm so excited to be working with you both as we gear up for the big day. Happy Tuesday!
Maya and Nilay really wanted to embody a sense of the city during this shoot, so we decided to start off in Beacon Hill.
Why is every building around here just so darn picture perfect?!
And THIS pretty much sums up Maya and Nilay. If I recall correctly, Nilay has instigated some sort of monkey business. You guys are so cute together.
One of the best things I've noticed about Nilay is his ability to make Maya LOL. Seriously LOL.
I was so thankful for this beautiful fall day.
This moment is just so perfect and so genuine. Love it.
And the monkey business resumes!!
After a quick outfit change, we popped over the Boston Public Garden. I think we caught just the tail end of all the gorgeous foliage and colors.
Ok, seriously Maya? Nilay... this lady was worth the chase!!

We ended the session with the most perfect sunset in the city. Congratulations guys -- can't wait for the big day!!
