InspirationHappy New Year
I
t's hard to believe that another year has come and gone. Another year that was filled with love, laughter, joy, ups, downs, highs, lows, dreams, fears, excitement, anxiety, adventures, failures, friends, peers and so much more. I know that for me, this past year was a year where our whole team really solidified who we are. We learned more about each other than every before, and in a sense learned how to better work with and off each other. How to support one another. How to encourage. I hope that you can look back on 2012 and see a team, an inner circle, or your besties that you are thankful for and proud of. People whom you feel honored to call your own. So here's to another wonderful year that passed, and a thanks to everyone on our team and in our lives that continue to support us. May 2013 be yours for the taking! Happy New Year.
IT'S TUESDAY....

STYLE WATCH: PEACH AND GRAY
I
t's hard to believe that the transition from Summer to Fall is fast approaching. As the days slowly shorten and the temperatures cool down, I'm drawn to softer, more subtle color combinations. One that I've been noticing lately is peach and gray. It's so romantic, but still super sophisticated - perfect for a wedding! Here are a few pieces of inspiration if you're wanting to incorporate these colors into your wedding (or even a bridal shower or engagement dinner).

ho says diamonds have to be a girl's best friend? I say, go for the gold! (Yes, I do realize this would have been more timely during the Olympics...) I simply love warmer gold tones, and when done right they can work so well for weddings. Here are some of my favorite ways to use gold for a wedding. You'll see that this timeless palette can have such a modern twist.
1. This invitation suite from EdenWeddingStudio is stunning! I love the Moroccan-inspired pattern and embellished font. It's just formal enough!
2. The cake! Talk about romantic...I'm loving these gold wedding cakes. Whether you go for a simple all-gold dessert, or choose to add decoration or use a unique texture, it's definitely going to be impressive.

3. Don't be afraid to try out gold for your reception decor! From your place settings to the centerpieces, there are many ways to go gold. A textured gold plate charger can keep things modern, and pairs well with a more traditional gold flatware. And why not top these beautiful tables with a gold-rimmed signature cocktail? So fun!
4. Last but not least... the shoes! Need I say more?

STAND TALL & DELIVER
S
ummer in New England can go one of two ways. It's either going to be sunny, clear skies and beautiful... OR it's going to be hazy, hot and humid. We get some wedding that are short, and others that span over 12 hours. Some weddings are less than a 100 people, others are over a 1,000. No matter what the weather, how long the day or how busy the wedding, I can ALWAYS count on my team to stand tall and deliver. So as we approach yet another busy peak in our wedding season, I want to just pause and say THANK YOU to everyone on my team. Whether you work behind the camera or in front of the computer, I am nothing without each and every single one of you. And as Adam likes to say, "There's never a dull moment at BPP"... and I wouldn't have it any other way. Happy Friday.

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by. For the most part, this blog is a collection of my work, ideas, inspirations and things I've learned. If you're a bride & groom: sit back, relax and soak it all in... until your fingers get pruny! If you're a photographer: I hope you can take away something insightful from what I've learned about turning my passion for photography and cinematography into a career. You can also explore more about the world of BINITA PATEL by clicking below. Until we meet... have FUN, be STYLISH.
