43 CHURCH SALEM WEDDING: Lauren & Kenny

Dec
27
I
t was a day filled with genuine emotion. From the their first look, to their vows and until the last dance; Lauren & Kenny couldn't have seemed happier to be tying the knot. It was their love for all things musical that brought them together. But it was their love for each other that has kept them together. I'm pretty sure that when Kenny gave a heartwarming toast to his new bride, that I teared up just a tad. Oh that Kenny... he's such a smoother talker!

Congratulations Lauren & Kenny! I just loved all the beautiful little details you incorporated to make your day oh-so special, and I am simply honored to have captured all the beautiful little moments that will make your day unforgettable for many years to come. Best wishes for a wonderful ever-after. Happy Thursday!
Salem Waterfront Hotel Wedding
We started the afternoon in Lauren's bridal suite at the Salem Waterfront Hotel & Marina. From the dress to the florals, Lauren incorporated details that mattered. Love this very unique bouquet by Blooms of Hope.

Lauren's bouquet had this adorable charm that has been in her family for years. Such a personal touch!

Lauren had only her nearest and dearest close to her as she got ready in her bridal suite. It was such a peaceful way to start the day.
And of course there's always room for a little bubbly to jump start the celebration.
I just LOVELOVELOVE when couple's opt for a first look. It's such a personal, emotional and beautiful moment - and quite frankly, it's probably some of the only moments the bride and groom get to themselves all day. Such a wonderful way to begin your wedding day.
It was FREEZING. I mean FREEZING!! But Lauren was being a trooper. That's my kinda bride.
Just taking in the quiet moments with one another before we moved into our photo session in and around 43 Church in Salem.
One of Kenny's most revered qualities is his ability to make Lauren smile - no matter how cold it is outside.
OH LAUREN -- go on!!!
Wrapped up the session with one of my faves from the day.
The ceremony was definitely a tear-jerker! Such beautiful vows.
The evening dinner and festivities were hosted at 43 Church in Salem. I just love the ambiance here, with the exposed brick and seating for no more than 100. It's a perfect spot for an intimate affair.
Lauren worked on so many of the details herself. Love the personal touch.
And of course, the evening wouldn't be complete without a barbershop quartet.
A leisurely dinner...
Followed by the first dance!
I'm pretty sure that Lauren and Kenny were on the dance floor all night long! You guys are such a fun couple, and it was a pleasure capturing your special day. Congratulations, and best wishes for all the years to come!
Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by. For the most part, this blog is a collection of my work, ideas, inspirations and things I've learned. If you're a bride & groom: sit back, relax and soak it all in... until your fingers get pruny! If you're a photographer: I hope you can take away something insightful from what I've learned about turning my passion for photography and cinematography into a career.
